Join Us
We are always looking
for
volunteers to
drive or conduct. Potential drivers are given full training on the
vehicle
and a driving test once they are considered ready. A PCV licence is not
required as under the DVLA's Community Bus Permit scheme drivers with
Group D1 on their licence can drive minibuses holding up to 16
passengers.
Conductors are also
given training so that they are familiar with the routes and
timetables.
Our volunteers, many
of
whom are retired themselves, come
from a diverse range of backgrounds. We have an annual
get-together away from the bus
operation.
So
come and join us. It's
not only great fun and
something that is very satisfying to do, but it's also of huge benefit
